SUFFERN, NY, April 3, 2000 - Acticon Technologies,
a division of General Patent Corporation International
(GPCI), an intellectual property management company,
has entered into licensing agreements with Multi-Tech
Systems, Inc., Mounds View, MN and New Media Technology
Corporation, Irvine, CA. Both companies design and manufacture
PC card modems and other communications equipment. The
non-exclusive licenses cover four GPCI patents, protecting
aspects of PC card modems and other communications devices.

patents to Multi-Tech and New Media Technology,"

throughout the communications industry continue their
high regard for Acticon's proprietary technology."
Acticon's award-winning technology is based on U.S.
Patent Nos. 4,603,320 ("Connector Interface"),
4,686,506 ("Multiple Connector Interface"),
4,972,470 ("Programmable Connector") and 4,543,450
("Integrated Connector and Modem").
Companies that have previously been granted licenses
by GPCI on this patented technology include IBM, Motorola,
3Com, Xircom, Conexant, Boca Research, ActionTech and
Zoom Telephonics.
